Some places farther out have pretty weak public transport links - if your disability prevents you from driving (or you don't drive for any other reason) then this may be something to consider. I spend about two hours a day commuting to somewhere a 20 minute drive from my house. Especially if you commute during rush hours this may prove to be a challenge.
