I understand what you’re saying and it makes sense but you’re using examples based on very specific sets of circumstances.

Yes it’s true people will need to revise what they can offer but that doesn’t mean that will be the case in sufficient numbers to drive prices down.

Even if you take a couple with an average wage of 32k each (so 1 police, 1 nurse etc..) then they could easily borrow over 300k and still pass adapted affordability checks.

Put simply there will be enough people who can buy to avoid a crash, the unemployment rate is showing no real indicators of rising (the opposite in fact) to cause a surplus in supply.

Plus the people who need to spend less will just look in other areas that they can afford.

Really disagree with people not sacrificing lifestyle to save their homes, people, especially families will save their home above all else.
