Not to be a dick, but nearly everybody gets the rules of a zebra crossing wrong. Drivers are under NO OBLIGATION to stop at a zebra crossing unless the pedestrian is already ON the crossing. If both your feet are still on the pavement then an immediately approaching car does not need to stop!
