Hmm, I don’t know whether everyone does. For me it’s not about the worry about infection, it’s just to stop it scabbing. When I’ve used them before, I’ve put them on right after and then not needed to think about them for a few days and then there’s no scabbing at all when I’ve taken them off. I am very very bad for picking scabs so it just helps to remove the temptation to mess with it
