'teaching yer granny how to suck eggs' = telling somebody something that they already know.
'Haneck' = unlucky (used solely as a word to express laughter at others misfortunes).
'a wis gettin' thrown aboot like a wet trackie' = I was getting moved forcefully around like a wet tracksuit jacket.
Finally, a personal favourite of mine: 'av got hairy baws, no crystal wans' = I can't see into the future. |
