Before going back to uni to do nursing I was a hiring manager for a fairly successful and large bluechip financial company. Never had I once cared about what university someone came from. Especially not in marketing and business management roles when it's more about the personality and mindset of the interviewee.

No one cares what university you go to once you have a record of employment, and most employers don't base their hiring practices on universities unless it's for some very specific roles relating to the expertise of that university.

If you're a graduate and you're getting knocked back that will be more to do with you as an individual or the grading of your degree than the name of your university.
