It's an ongoing joke on this subreddit, but I would love to see a documentary looking at the frequency of fires which destroy buildings in the city compared against similar sized cities, and then if there's anything statistically significant then looking further into the individual instances to see if there's anything that stands out.

If I was to put a conspiracy hat on and start speculating without evidence I'd argue that there is something funny going on where expensive student flats seem to pop up everywhere, fires seem to randomly start despite previous warnings, and at the same time Glasgow University has managed to somehow accidentally overbook a few thousand students into accommodation that no longer exists.
