| Comment | GCC just remortgaged the City Chambers and the Kelvingrove museum, how on earth could we afford to host this? It's all very well saying it brings money in to the Glasgow economy - but hotels, hospitality, restaurants, and security services, etc doing well out of it for a few days doesn't repay the millions that GCC would have to outlay in the first place. It's money they just do not have to spend. |
