Comment | We've had the whole "international reputation" thing with COP26, Commonwealth Games, big productions filming here, etc, etc. I doubt very much that any of those have benefited Glasgow much in the long term. Yes, hospitality would do very well out of it, but Glasgow is too skint to pay the organisers and get the city satisfactorily presentable. Public services have been cut to the bare bone - It cannot afford to spaff money on frivolities. And we're in danger of having an international reputation for shit public transport. |
