As far as I'm aware, with Eurovison, the host city and the broadcaster (in this case the BBC) foot the bill, hence why it's only economically beneficial to the local hospitality industry.
We have been host to large international "eyes of the world on Glasgow" events in the past few years, which we were assured would showcase Glasgow as a world class events location, and yet here we are... no Eurovision. Would it *really* be the one that made the difference? |
