I did it a few times around that age for the same reasons. I quite liked going to Subclub. Its not too difficult to blend in once you're in. I found its better to get there around midnight when its a bit more busy. Sometimes its too quiet between 11pm and midnight. There should be older people at the weekend rather than mid-week. I once saw two guys about 50 with grey hair on the dancefloor with the typical involuntary jaw movements. Definitely seen other people around 30 or 30+ at times. Obviously it varies though and you're bound to be around a fair amount of younger folk too. 26 is fine though. I'd make the most of it while you can. Obviously being yourself isn't ideal but I wouldn't let it stop you. You can always get a taxi home if you're worried about getting home yourself. |
