Honestly, it was the peppers. They are not Korean peppers and they particularly ruined my dish. They’re the type of peppers found in American/British Chinese food. Also, the bathroom sign was in English and Chinese; not Korean. That, as well as the taste of the food, made me think it was catered to the Chinese palate. It makes sense as someone else mentioned in this thread that the food is changed for the Glaswegian food scene. There are more Chinese people here than Koreans as well. It just goes back to my original comment that if you’re going into Silla thinking it’s going to be authentic Korean you’re going to be disappointed because it’s modified Korean recipes for the UK. Ergo, it’s okay. I would only go there to drink because at least the soju and makgeoli are authentic.

But, the Jeju peanut makgeoli got me incredibly excited. I never thought I would see that outside of Korea and 우도 holds a very special place in my heart.
