You didn’t mention the provider. Assuming it’s coming via the new City Fibre then the cable will normally be external. You can tell if this will happen if they have installed a Toby at each building. It’s a small black telecoms pavement box.
The building will first be prepared with a fibre junction box being fitted externally and a fibre being blown back to the switch.
On your install date a fibre cable is run externally into your flat and terminates in a small media converter.
After that it’s just a normal router that is connected with an Ethernet cable. |
