Coatbridge has a proud history but is sort of a dead end commuter town these days. Some exaggeration about its level if shiteholery here. Its hardly a beauty spot but like any large town it has some bad areas and some nice areas.
Wouldn't really say it was Glasgow though. I know it's technically counted with Greater Glasgow for being part of the contiguous urban area (sort of) but being in Coatbridge doesn't *feel* like you're in Glasgow. If I was travelling to Coatbridge from Edinburgh I wouldn't say I was going to Glasgow. |
