Ringing a bell at people isn't being aggressive, its just being safe and sensible to give people notice they are about to be passed.

If someone rang a bell and then after shouted move then that kinda gives the impression you were in someones way and didnt make space for them to pass.

Also you were walking on the bike lane? maybe don't do that? I try to give people the benefit of the doubt on places like Sauchiehall where there is a lot of people who don't understand where the bike lane is and often the pedestrian path is squeezed to the point people need to talk in the bike path. But still when there is such a small amount of space given to cyclists in the city its pretty shitty to be knowingly prevent cyclists from actually being able to use it.
