Buying the way you've described was originally my plan. I got a mortgage in principle a few months ago to view somewhere that I ended up not going for. I tried to get a mortgage in principle again last week and they halfed the amount they would lend me despite absolutely nothing about my circumstances changing. If anyone knows of any houses available for £35,000 lemme know
