I liked lockdown (happy relationship, nice neighborhood, part time job in a shop so still getting out of the house, dog for walks so it was no great hardship). I liked how quiet and clean everything was. I let a lot of vague / shallow friendships fade out - all the ones who constantly moaned about not being able to go out, or about masks etc. What I took away for myself is that I, like plenty of other people benefitted from a quiet world. But on the other hand some of my closest friends have sort of list their motivation, their drive, their positivity. Not sure it is long covid or psychological damage.

It does feel as if people are holding back less with their opinions than before, like those weeks of minimal social interaction took away a layer of tact and tolerance maybe?
