This isn't specific to Glasgow I think. Every so often something will happen that reminds you that a lot of people really aren't ok and that most have been through some level of individual and collective trauma over the last few years. Many people who live alone have experienced extreme loneliness. Many who live with others haven't had any personal space at all. Relationships/families have fallen apart, people have lost loved ones without saying goodbye, people are now fucking terrified they're not going to have enough cash to live on. Even people who seem to be doing ok are a lot more nervous/anxious because we all had to adjust and suppress many of our most basic and ingrained emotions and behaviours because we've been trying to avoid catching and transmitting a killer fucking virus.

As well as not feeling ok themselves many are also picking up on the fact that a lot of other people aren't doing ok. Don't know what the solution is tbh...be kind, don't be too hard on yourself and others OP, maybe limit the time you spend doomscrolling the news and social media, focus on things you like doing and obviously fuck the Tories.
