Comment | Try and get her on your side by suggesting you, her (and any oter tenants) get together to write a letter to the council (or landlord) and asking them to fix the door. You are quite right when you say it invalidates your insurance, so you need to get this sorted as soon as possible. If you seem to want to fix the problem along with her, it makes for better neighbourly relations down the line
