Salary is quoted pre-tax. Google the salary calculator and put in your details for a rough idea of how much you’ll take home each month.

Living costs for rent are genuinely from a few hundred to thousands a month depending where you live and what type of flat.

Is there a WhatsApp group with other JP grads? Find out where some of them are living. I would hazard a guess at a combination of Shawlands/Battlefield/Pollokshaws areas in southside, or anywhere west end.

Remember that the rental market in glasgow right now is insane. It’s incredibly difficult to get a flat. Don’t be afraid of getting something and then moving fairly quickly. There are no minimum rental periods anymore don’t let landlords fool you into thinking there are, but also don’t tell them you’ll only be there a few months.
