Tipping is bad, it encourages companies getting away with underpaying staff. Those people that get tips deserve them but I would prefer we normalised good wages rather than subsidies.

I work as a carer in a nursing home, it's unethical for us to take tips from service users, for good reason. Does that mean carers deserve less than taxi drivers or waiters? No and pitting workers against each other against each other against each other is not the solution. All workers deserve a fair wage and shouldn't have to rely on customers stepping in.
