It was the Winter of the Heavy Snow, remember? Back a few years? Me and some friends had been hiking/walking and using those ice gripper things on our boots. Taking our boots off and turning them upside down (because it seemed sensible at the time, I don't know...) at the close door before scuttling up the stairs in our thick wolly socks. More snow happened and when we retrieved our boots, all you could see was the spikes. It seemed amusing at the time and we discussed the potential for stopping folk hanging around. |
