I'm with Octopus and my DD has been reduced by £66 the past two bills with the difference being made up by the subsidiary. Seems to have gone pretty smoothly.
Every energy company is doing it differently though, depending on whether the customer pays by DD, prepay smart meter, prepay key/card meter.
