So you take the legs off a grand and a couple other bits. You put the main body onto it's side and into a wooden almost pallet type thing. You put removal ties onto the piano securing it to the sleeve and then you put more ties through gaps in it and lift it using the ties. An upright is pretty easy. Any reputable removal firm should manage that. A lot of good removal firms are hesitant to just do one off jobs but if you're really adamant you want the best service tell them that and they should be willing to provide it. Moving Home Made Easy are very good. I know a guy at Lomond Removals who is very good at pianos. Kilmarnock Removals in Ayrshire have a good name but personally I don't know them. There's a lot of removal companies. Tell them you want it export wrapped. That's protective packaging for international shipping.
