| Comment | Surely the whole point of living in a democratic society is that we are able to voice our concerns and protest etc. I thought my fiancé was being a bit of a drama lord when he said the laws the tories were putting in to stop protests etc were them trying to thwart democracy in advance but it looks like he was right!
I don’t think it’s acceptable that we all just sit and wait, strikes obv get reaction but I don’t know how we could all strike. Marches etc would get attention but could get us arrested. How do we demand change? Surely there is some mechanism that allows us to demand a general election? It doesn’t seem right that this is dependent on getting approval from the government - all v baffling!!!! |
