Actually it does very much matter. Let’s be clear if your bike is in the wheelchair area then you must be prepared to move it if necessary.
Getting asked to leave the train is not on. It’s just a matter of moving stuff about or going to a quieter area of the train. If it’s only 10 mins to the next train thee then maybe but it’s first come first served. Bikes are welcome on the commuter trains and it should never really be necessary to refuse someone.
If it’s simply a space issue then there are other options such as tell the folk with bags on seats to get them off. Rarely do you see all seats taken even on busy trains.
Someone with a bike should be welcomed with open arms as they are using an active travel option and not destroying the planet. |
