| Comment | As with everything these days, no one is happy to take the middle ground a little bit, extremism is king. Glasgow does have a litter issue, but it's nowhere near as bad as people on here make it out to be and whilst the transport can it times be unrealiable, again it's nowhere near as bad as you would think if you read the hyperbole on here.
Tramps and junkies are in every big city in the UK, Christ every big city in the world has tramps or junkies. Spend sometime in places like San Francisco or Portland and you would see cities with real issues with homelessness, ours are miniscule in comparison.
Self loathing is part of our make up, but this trend for bashing Glasgow constantly on here is so over the top. It's not London but it's not Hull either. It's a big city with lots going for it, lots to do and a great place to stay. It has lots of potential and that is not being reached but things are slowly beginning to change.
In saying all that, moving away from your home town is something I'd always encourage people to do, it's eye opening, provides independence and freedom and broadens your horizons, so fucking go for it. |
