Comment | You should look at the schools that are closest to you - Glasgow is a big city, and considering the unreliability (and cost - I don’t think they can get an NEC until after three years of residency) of the bus system, you probably won’t want them going too far out. Contact the schools themselves, and ask around here and in places such as Facebook groups about schools in more specific areas.
Any and all schools should be immigrant-friendly, especially for Latinos as race/ethnicity is one of the categories protected by the Equality Act 2010. Lots of (predominantly non-denominational) schools embed diversity and anti-bullying in their ethos, so there’s no chance your child is going to stick out like a sore thumb other than being the quintessential “new kid”. Only thing they’ll probably get slagged for may be having the easiest time with Higher Spanish, if they choose to go that far. |
