| Comment | Glasgow is my absolute favourite city in the UK. I moved here from Yorkshire 5 years ago and would never willingly leave this place.
Yes, of course there are things I don't like about it - the transport is annoying, the city centre can be grimy in parts - but the quality of life is great compared to where I grew up. I've lived in three cities prior to this and didn't particularly care for any of them - Glasgow is a winner for me.
My grandmother was originally from here and moved down to Yorkshire in the 1960s - she hated it so much that she never returned and always warned me not to go - but I understand the city has gone through massive changes since then but particularly in the 1980s starting with the Garden Festival. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. |
