| Comment | The Roma people in Govanhill, and the charities and organisations who work with them all use the word Roma. Historically that is also the term used by a distinct group of people. I’ve never heard the term ‘Rroms’ and the term gypsy, whilst may be a term people identify with a) is used for other groups including Irish travellers, and b) is often used as a derogatory term and is often avoided for this reason. |
