Given that OP is already suffering mobility issues and has to use a wheelchair to get around, and could - unbeknown to you and I - already have underlying health issues. I would suggest that dog dirt poses a very serious health hazard (to anyone, not just someone already suffering ill health) and must be dealt with in a supportive manner via the help from a "health professional"
