Who doesn't love the frisson of excitement when getting the bus first thing in the morning? Will it be full? Will it be filthy? Will it turn up at all?
Once one has walked to the train station, the emotional rollercoaster continues. Has the train left early? Did a leave on another line cause all services to be cancelled across Scotland?
And finally one can have a therapeutic conversation with the taxi driver as one arrives at work 30 minutes late. Again.
Truly, no other public transport can be this thrilling. |
