If you have a key, changing locks is typically a simple thing to do, particularly modern Euro profile cylinders. I recently bought a house and changed front and back door to matched cylinders, cost me <£40 and takes 5 minutes to unscrew a single bolt on the face of the door (the bit that the lock and latch protrude from. You'll need to take the old lock out and measure distance from centre to the internal and external face (usually 40/45/50/55mm). They're sold as "45/45" or "50/40" etc. with the dimensions being from inside to centre/centre to outside.

No need to remove the door handle, just remove the holding bolt, twist the key 20 degrees and out it pops.

NB you can get cheaper cylinders singly, £40 was a premium to get a pair as I needed 6 keys and didn't want to get more cut!
