I was in the exact same position as you a few years ago and now have a job where I use it daily as part of my job.
Unfortunately a lot of it is trial and error. Making the mistake is the best way on how to fix them. I will send you a few resources in YouTube that were great for me. A lot of it is wee Indian guys using cad 2012 and a terrible Camera but gets the job done.
