Comment | There are absolutely people who don't seek medical care because the system is so overloaded they can't easily access help, and if we recruited more doctors those people would probably seek help, so yes in that sense more doctors do induce extra demand.
Except people NEED to see doctors, they don't NEED to drive. When the roads are full, people can be redirected to more efficient and environmental modes of transit. When people can't access the healthcare they need, they can die. That isn't something we should accept and it's in incredibly poor faith to compare something like that to people having to sit in some traffic or take a bus to work. |
