Seriously if you haven't been inside for a night it's a must. Imagine a close community of people mostly in their elder years who love country western music, dressing up as cowboys, having simulated gun fights, and the drinks and food are cheap as you get.

I've been in it twice so far, one was when I was wee for my granda's 70th, and another one for a work night out a few years back and both times I loved it, the people are lovely and welcoming, and it's a good laugh. Also the gun salute/end bit with the flags etc is meant to be a sort of remembrance for the members and friends of the club who have died, I don't think anybody in the Grand Ole Opry is some Kamikaze pilot style holdover from the American Civil War trying to get the south to rise again by tricking the elderly of Govan with a bit of Patsy Cline
