| Comment | Like most people here are saying, call 111 first. Hospitals are full of people who could’ve potentially wait it out. There will be a potential wait so in the meantime, maybe make a hot water bottle or something to help subside the pain.
Further personal take on this: However, if the pain has been with you for more than three days and gets worse or doesn’t subside no matter the change of position, diet or other attempts (pain medication) just go to the hospital. And no matter what they gaslight you with, do not let them send you home with pain management.
The NHS is under severe strain and underfunded but that’s not an excuse to dismiss patients. We fully need to sympathise with them but they also need to do their job.
