Comment | That’s poor advice - yeah, for some people that will be absolutely fine but for a lot of people starting to run is where they discover their biomechanics aren’t ideal for it, they under/over protonate or just need more support.
Additionally, ‘turn up’ - to where? The park? The street? No one is judging a newbie runner for having decent kit. That kind of comment just puts people off the idea & is really unhelpful. |
