I realise you're trolling, but I'll bite.Nothing everyone can drive, or afford to drive, and it's also incredibly bad for the environment, not to mention stupidly expensive.

I work in city centre. My work has a discounted rate on the local carpark for £9 a day. That's £9 ON TOP OF fuel, not to mention the cost of buying and maintaining a car. A return bus is 3.50. Its 3.80 for a return on the train (though I have a season pass), and when the trains are running, it's actually quicker to get the train than to drive.

Funnily enough my household has a car, but sadly, we have very different shifts. Partner took the car to work for his 7am start and I was relying on a train that didn't come for my 2.30 pm start. Even if money were unlimited and the environmental impact was negligible, what makes you think it's feasible for everyone in Glasgow to drive? Where are all these cars going to go? Where are we supposed to park them, both in city centre and at home?

Besides, it is RIDICULOUSLY hard to get a driver's license since Covid. My practical was rescheduled 7 times during the pandemic and my theory test lapsed so I had to redo it. My colleagues learning to drive have been telling me that it's almost impossible to find a driving instructor and one of them is on a 3 month waiting list.

Suggesting an unaffordable and frankly IMPRACTICAL solution for most people isn't funny, it's just really, really out of touch.
