Comment | It's gonna take a bit longer because they're keeping the road open while they do the construction. I imagine it'll be a little like Gorbals Street has been with the south city way works recently, where they've kept at least one lane in each direction going (with occasional single-file temporary traffic lights).
It can be done quicker by closing full sections of the road, which has been done in a few other situations. But I think it's a mix of it being a north-south connecting road, trying to keep local businesses onside, and just generally managing a street with such high footfall, that they've opted for that approach. |
