| Comment | When they were investigating Angelica Kluks murder, there was a parallel investigation at the same time that was kept low-key, even from some of the people investigating Angelika’s murder (they didn’t want to jeopardise the Kluk murder causing confusion, but when they got Tobin they went public with the secondary investigation). After a short time of investigating Tobin they figured there was no way this was his first killing.
This secondary investigation looked at missing people in areas Tobin lived in at the time. They also looked at if he could be Bible John, and concluded that no, he wasn’t. He didn’t live in Glasgow, or even near to it, for the majority of the murders and there isn’t any evidence that he travelled back to Glasgow during that time. Then there is some DNA evidence that excluded him too. |
