I had quite a few part time jobs when I was younger. Supermarket shelf stacker, clothes shop assistant, restaurant waiting staff, potato technician, barman (have to be 18 but some places hire glass collectors at 16). Retail is always looking for young folk, you just have to be confident and likeable in the interview. Print out 50 CVs, and go round town handing them into shops. Don’t just hand them to the first person you find though, ask to speak to the boss. Then give them a bit of chat - remember they are hiring you to chat to the customers so if they see you’re comfortable talking to them that’s a good start. They’ll then know your face and not just see a name in a pile of CVs, and they’ll be more likely to call you in for an interview.
