| Comment | I used to live in a conversion in Pollokshields and everything was fed from the mains. It’s hard to imagine how it could be anything other than this as the top floor flats tend to have access to the loft which doesn’t make sense if it contains stuff that is servicing other flats.
Also, most conversions have been done in the last 40 or so years when storage tanks are much less common, so based on those 2 points I’d say there’s an almost 100% chance yours will be fine.
Either way I wouldn’t worry much. I grew up in an old house in the 80s with a storage tank and drank from the toilet tap every day and I’m still here lol. The real main worry is if you have lead pipes but that’s very very unlikely these days |
