| Comment | The vast majority of people won't care at all. They'll notice you have an English accent but won't see that as unusual. Of the minority who would even acknowledge it, most will just be curious. Obviously there are some arseholes around but of the many English people I know living here none have ever had any bother based on their nationality. There are lots of accents from all over the world in Glasgow, English accents don't really stand out.
That said, if you're speaking RP in a pub in Springburn or something I'd expect it would turn some heads. But regular English accents? Nobody cares. |
