City Fibre are running a new fibre network in Glasgow at the moment. More than likely Dumbarton Road will get provisioned at some point if not already done so.

In order to easily switch you need to move your Openreach ADSL connection to an ISP that works with City Fibre. That way the switch from copper to full fibre will be free. Vodafone and Talk Talk are examples.

Just look out for the guys installing the purple telecoms ducts. I actually can’t remember for sure if Dumbarton Road has been connected. The way to find out is go to the Vodafone broadband checker. If you can get a 500mb package then you are good to go with full fibre.
