My oldest has had a bit of a difficult time with school due to some past trauma. She’s very social but doesn’t have many friends because all those connections were made when she was struggling to engage in the classroom.
When I was at uni a few years ago I started the university of glasgow parents’ network. Dunno if it’s still going. I know there’s a bit of an age gap but I’m always happy to meet up, let the kids hang out and expand their friend circle.
People have made some decent suggestions but sometimes kids just wanna run around in a park screaming 🤷♂️
Thinking about taking the kids to the Christmas markets next weekend if you wanted to join. There will be a couple of more girls there too, ages 6 and 9.
The transport museum is also a good about: it’s free, there’s stuff for the kids to do and a Christmas market running.
