Scott St is fine, no worries there, you may here some noise on the weekend being beside the woodcutter and Wetherspoons, your more a 5 min walk from the town centre.
I've Been new in Motherwell for about 3 years, absolutely no issues.
Not the prettiest of places but only a 20-25 minutes train to Glasgow
