I'm from Paisley and we definitely have more nasally, slower accents and say things like "totties" instead of "tatties" and "cor" instead of "car" (well older folk do anyway). My gran used to come away with mad shit like "seek" instead of sick and "seeven" instead of seven and she was Paisley born and bred. Her parents were Irish though. We've got shorter vowels to the point where they aren't even pronounced sometimes. E.g the name Darren is pronounced like "Darn". My name is Lauren and I used to get called "Laurn". I've lived in Edinburgh for a few years now and notice my vowels becoming longer.
