| Comment | They are but to cook them in a palatable manner isn't free. Also can you imagine the misery? I sometimes enjoy a bowl of porridge made in the microwave with water for my dinner but I would hate to have to eat that every night just to fill my stomach, wouldn't you?
Eggs are the exception (eggception) to this. I remember reading that if poor people are able to eat eggs, it makes a measurable difference to their health and growth. I hate them but I think most people can enjoy just a plain boiled egg, or one scrambled in the microwave. |
