GFT for a film. A much better experience than any big chain cinema.

Wrap up and go for a walk. Explore the neighbourhoods or head out of the city and do hillwalking.

Join a book group, or start a new one. There seems to be a lot of enthusiasm on local Facebook groups for this type of thing, and I love the idea myself.

Go to the library. More books and free.

Train to Largs, a go at the amusement arcades, fish and chips and a Nardini's ice cream. It's fun in the rain.

If you drive and can afford the fuel, head out in the car. Drive round Rosneath peninsula, down to Ayr for a walk on the beach, New Lanark.

Make the most of the free galleries and museums.

Eat. Cook or go out. I've seen some cooking classes on itison etc that look good.

Splash out on a spa day at Cameron House. Outdoor infinity pool, saunas overlooking Loch Lomond.

Check out the coffee and cake scene in the Southside.

Go round the charity shops. Lots of posts here if you search on where to find good ones.
